I just startet 2 month ago taking Metropolol 25 mg one time per day and I feel dizzy quite often during the day mostly when I am standing. I messure my blood pressure several times during the day and it shows that I am mostly within the range of 115 over 75 and a Pulse sometimes 75 and down 65 or 60; -- . if it is normal to get those not plessant side effects when taking a Beta Blocker.
I am not sure if I am too low or what and if I feel dizzy, does it mean I need more of the medication, even though the messurments are good , this really puzzles me, that I do not know how and why I feel not so good.
About 2 1/2 month ago I found out that I have high blood pressure, when all of a sudden one day I felt very dizzy and had to ly down and the messurement at that time was 180 over 149 and that was the only time that high and also the first time that I noticed having high blood pressure, and now it seems to be within a good normal range.
I am grateful for some advise.

Metoprolol is usually well tolerated and if side effects occur, they are mild.
However, everything is individual and if you feel that this drug causes your bad symptoms, you should report it to the doctor who had prescribed the drug in the first place.
S/He may run a few tests to see if something else is the matter.
Metoprolol can cause low blood pressure and dizziness may be a sign of low blood pressure, so I would make another appointment to see what it is all about. You may be just over stressed or tired but you had better had it checked.
