Hello Everyone,
I'm 27 years old and am familiar with these spots you are referring to. I had them from time I hit puberty until I was 26 years old. It used to drive me mad trying to figure what they were and where they come from. I would ask doctors and look in books, the internet, even history trying to find a reason and/or a cure. Alas, I could find none.
One day however, the cure found me. I was sitting alone on my couch watching some new movie on pay-per-view. I had a beer in one hand a cigarette in the other. Suddenly the spots were swimming in my vision and I just snapped. I cried out, "What kind of f-ing god would give this to me?" To my absolute shock, I got a reply.
Slowly, out of the spots, form the figure of a man in white flowing robes with a beard and long hair. At first I was prepared to fight, then he leaned forward, placed his hand on my shoulder, and I felt total calm. He stood before me and explained why I was stricken with the spots. You see, its God's punishment for all that we allow ourselves to see. We watch violence without emotion. We watch coitus without care. We watch the world fall deeper and deeper into the clutches of Lucifer and we do nothing about it. God is not happy my friends, and he's coming for us. He is God. He needs no rest. He can see everyone, everything, every where all at once. We cannot hide form him. He will punish us all, and we will have no choice but to take his punishment, and take it hard.
I beseech you all. Repent! Before we hand the world we love so dear, the only world we have, to the hands of Lucifer and all his hell spawn.

Wow that's a pretty scary story there, unknown story teller. I'm certainly glad I don't share the same God as you. Mine is not vindictive.
Floaters are cells that have sloughed off the side of the eyeball and are floating around in the fluid inside. Hence the name. They usually come with age. I have several.
I have found other visual disruptions that are quite interesting but apparently harmless. I discover them when I was about 65 years younger. When I was laying on the lawn staring up at the sky one day I found if I stared steadily without moving my eyes, after several seconds I would begin to see little black dots moving around randomly in the center of my vision. The longer I managed to keep my eyes still the more of them there were and the larger the group became. If I held it long enough they became colored dots all rolling around randomly. I mentioned it to one of my playmates and she tried it with the same results. So we just figured that was a natural phenomenon and had fun doing it when we felt like it. I can still do it now at 70. It's interesting but I don't know what causes it. It doesn't have to be the sky, any light colored surface will do. I can even see them with my eyes closed as long as there is light on my eyelids.

Hey, I'm a 15-year-old female who has been experincing the constant "Floaters"....They are bugging me alot. I havent seen a doctor yet. I understand that stress, lack of sleep, and drugs can do this. I am proud to say I havent taken any drugs except daily cans of Moutian Dew (about 4 cans a day), I have alot of stress for a 15 year old, but I blame it on my Schizophrenia. I also don't sleep becuase of schizophrenia. What do I do?

Floaters and flashes can be warning signs signaling a more severe problem in your eye, including retinal tears and detachments. Your best bet is to see an eye doctor if this problem is bothersome. I am a lifeguard and have had large floaters in my right eye that don't just distract but block my vision. I have an auto immune disease that could be the cause, or so they say. If you can't see the see a doctor!

Hey, i know im younger than anyone here, im 16, i've been getting these black dots for around a year or 2, i was about to go and see my eye doctor because i was starting to get annoyed with them... And also what i get is little parts of bright where i can see my veins in the back of my eyes. I start to get worried as i think my eyes have gone round to the back of my head, which is impossible. Can someone reply, cause i am getting quite worried, and thankyou for listening.

This can be part of the aging process and of no concern. It can also be related to a retinal tear / detachment, especially if they increase in number. Get a dilated eye examination.

Hi there , I dont want to alarm you but these spots what you mentioned can be sign of a serious neurological problem. Do u feel dizzy somtimes or feel pressure like inside your head?. Another thing when u close your eyes ( both of them you keep seeing the floater?) If yes so you better check with your doctor . It can be neurological related . Good luck!!!

I personally think this issue occures due to masturbating alot,I am sure cuz i have been masturbating since i was three years old,YES three years old.
You should stop masturbating to get rid of this issue.

Hi there. Your post brought me to tears!
Im 22 y/o female. Very healthy. (smoke weed too) A lot. lol. Ne ways For about a year or so... maybe longer I have noticed a foggy haze in my vision. Honestly I thought I was just really high all this time. Sounds stupid maybe... but I smoke a lot. To make a long story short that "foggy haze" is now a bigger black spot. It too comes and goes. I'm writing to yo because when I was 13 til about 14 I was doing coricidine too. My friends and I would throw these parties and fill punch bowls full and take hand fulls and chew them up like they were candy. Possibly doing hundreds a night... eh. Im glad those days are over. YUCK! When I read your words say you think your vision problems could be from coricidine I FREAKED. Do you have any advice? Have you found anythng that helps? I keep knocking sh*t over, walking into things... Im scared to drive. No one knows whats wrong. The doctors all say my vision is fine....
thanks
