ughh i just started experiencing this problem too. but another thing is getting the courage to go to your doctor with this problem. this has got to be the most embarrassing issue to go to your doctor with. especially when you dont have a regular doctor.

okay i too am 15 and i am going through my exams and i have lost a lot of blood and it has made me slightly dizzy, it's not the first time its happened but it is in fact the worst, but im really embarresed to tell my mum, plus i don't want to go to hospital to get some examination, and i certainly don't want to tell my mum tonight incase she makes me miss my exam tomorrow... could this be caused by stress... or even my high motabilism... and i really don't want to waste some docters time over this when it could just be bad eating... has anybody got any ideas about what i could do.. like drink more water or something... just until i finish school in a couple weeks so i don't loose too much blood and faint in an exam... then if its not stopped i will go to the Doctors...

To the younger people posting on here, one cause may be if you're having to go and you hold it in. This could cause some "trauma" and is what is causing the bleeding. If this is the cause then getting over the fear of going in public places is something you need to do. My Grandfather had hemorroids and he gave me this advice, "They hurt like hell, if you have to fart or take a dump . . . DO IT. Holding it in just makes things worse."
If it's not that, then I would suggest seeing a Dr. If you're embarrased or don't want your parents to know, then make up another reason to see the Dr (nothing serious, and true if possible) and while you're there tell the Doc and tell them that you don't want your parents to worry so you didn't say anything to them.

Hi everyone I'm 16 and experienced a little bleeding after my last two bowel movements and it got me a little worried so I looked it up and this is a great article I found: ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed
If you have any more symptoms that go past a "tear" I would strongly suggest telling your Moms.. Otherwise wait a few days because they were probably just hard bowels that caused "tears".[/url]

A few years ago I was experiencing heavier then normal bleeding during my period. Then when I woud hava a bowel movement I had bright red blood drip in the toilet and blood clots. I just brushed ot off to probably menapause or something. However one day it just got so bad. My husband called an ambulance. I am sure glad he did because when I got to the hospital they did not know if I was going to live through the night.
I share this because we did not know that I had cervical cancer and every bowel movement was sqeezing the tumor to bleed because the cervix and bowel wall are located in the same spot. Therefore was sqeezing the tumor everytime I had a bowlel movemnet.
I would suggest seeing your doctor and go in for gyn check up too. It almost cost my my life because I was just trying to guess. Only a doctor can tell you what is wrong really. Please get checked, it may not be serious but on the other hand it could be. The ONLY way to get rid of the worry is to go see the doctor. Emergency room if you have too.

You should definately tell your mum if it this occurs more often. You are only yong and it may be nothing, but its best to get it checked, just to put your mind at ease. I sometime get bleeding to and, it first started when i was about 15 and i was to embarresed to tell my mum. it only happened a couple of times and then stopped for years. I am now 21 and have recently started bleeding again. Your mum will understand, she would prefer that you told her rather than keep it to yourself.

You should tell your mum as soon as possible. A doctor would be glad that you have spoke up about it and they certainly wont think that you are wasting there time. Thats what the doctors are here for. Also you will feel so much better when you tell someone and even better when the doctor tells you what could be the cause. its likely to be something minor, as you are very young. but never be afraid to tell someone when you are worried about something. If you cant tell hyour mum, what about another family member such as a sister/brother. Then they can talk to your mum.

Hi
It seems some people are having the same problem as me. A few months ago, when i was emptying my bowels, it was very painful and i used to bleed. Recently i have started to get extremly bad stomach cramps( which instantly triggers me to go to the toilet). Thankfully it doesnt hurt to empty my bowels anymore but there is a huge amount of blood coming with it aswell which only occurs when i have stomach cramps.
Is this something i should be worried about or shall i make an appointment with my GP as soon as possible.
Can i just add, im soooo scared about this, i cant stop thinking about what it can be.

Telling someone to go see a doctor is not an answer. People come here to find an answer, not to be told to go find an answer. That's simply a tasker posing as an answer. That's like when you go to dog forums and there's that guy who replies to every single post with an un-helpful "My best advice is to go to the vet. I'm glad I could help you." That's not helping anything. First off, who knows if the poster has health insurance or can afford a rediculous medical bill? If you have nothing to contribute, then don't post anything. If I ask what is the first line of the National Anthem, don't reply with a "My best advice is to go to the library and go look at an encyclopedia." That's not advice. That's refusing to help. That just shows that you also have no answer to the question and should therefore not try to answer it with a default response. WAKE UP. YOU DO NOT LOOK SMARTER FOR TELLING SOMEONE TO GO SEE A DOCTOR. YOU'RE JUST WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME, INCLUDING YOUR OWN. EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS THEY CAN GO SEE A DOCTOR. BUT THEY ARE TRYING TO LEARN BEFORE THEY GO TO POSSIBLY SAVE SOME MONEY WITH A SIMPLE SOLUTION, DAMNIT.
