Hi all, I got my IUD in 5years ago and decided to remove it 3 weeks ago as it was close to expiry anyway. Inserting the IUD was the most horrible abs painful experience ever! I spent a week curled up in a ball while my amazing fiance did everything for me. The slightest movement anywhere close to my tummy was excruciating! The 5 years went ok, biggest issue was a complete lack of sex drive. After I removed it I spotted for 2 days. It wasn't as bad as putting it in thankfully. But I have been bleeding non stop and heavy no for 2weeks. Its so uncomfortable!! I have crazy mood swings, loss of appetite and difficulty sleeping. I would have never put it in in the first place if I knew the end results were like this! Now I'm just praying the bleeding stops soon and I go back to normal! I don't want to be bleeding for over a month. The worst part is figuring this out all on your own because doctors and nurses DONT GIVE U ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS. I wish I never put that stupid thing in my body

I had my IUD for 4 months, I did not like the way it made me feel so I had it removed on 11/14. I had intercourse on 11/13 and 11/12. I started bleeding heavily on 11/15 and it hasn't stopped, I think it's actually gotten worse. I thought I could be pregnant because of the timing but I'm thinking this is my period? Can anyone relate?

Hi i had my mirena taken out 11days ago, I hated what it was doing to my body, I have had really bad blood clots for the last 4 days, but have been bleeding for 10 days, from all the posts I have read this is rather common, and does eventually get better, I only had mine in for 6weeks, I have read that it is the sudden withdrawal of estrogen. I am really hoping mine goes soon.

Im having the same thing as you. Was told to get Mirena so I would have less bleeding- and not have to remember to take a pill. I was told Mirena would not hurt. I could feel the IUD all the time...and especially during intercourse. I bled erratically and never could predict when it was going to happen. When I told my Dr I wanted it removed- she laughed at me and said- this is the best thing for a woman your age. (I'm 46) Well- I got this thing out of me and at first I bled a little. Then I bled a ton! Huge blood clots and cramping. I only had it in for

I know exactly how you feel. Same thing happened to me. I have really low iron and can't afford to lose so much blood. So ironic. Gah!

Hi there i was in same boat as yourself i got my coil removed Oct 31st and no bleeding no spotting or anything, was told by Doctor it can take upnto 6 months for my body to get back to normal, then on Dec 31st 2 months later i had small light bleed for 4 days. And then on 21st of jan more light bleeding and thot that was my 21 cycle so now i could try for baby 3. But oh no i woke jan 27th and it was bad. Heavy bleeding and clotting and still going now for 3rd day so be prepared and the cramps are horrible. Gd luck.

These comments and experiences are very helpful and I am so glad I came across this online. I'm having the problem, my IUD was removed 2 days ago and now I have heavy bleeding, started randomly while at work, however I have been experiencing sore nipples and I mean very tender to the touch. Not sure if that is normal, nothing really outlines a timeframe to expect when I may stop bleeding but my just completed my cycle 4 days before the IUD was removed, so I am a little concerned, has anyone else experienced these symptoms
