i first noticed this problem two months ago. initially i was very scared because i have never seen anything like this. i quickly contacted a friend of mine who is a doctor. he advised that i take several test to know the cause of the blood immediately after sex. i did all kind of test ranging from prostrate, urinary culture, mRI scan of the upper abdomen etc. all the test returned a negative result and it was confirmed that i was practically ok. The Doctor then suggested that this could be trivial injury to urethra during intercourse. The recommended that i should take Take anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac and Cefixime. He also advised that i should abstain from sex or masturbation for a period of two weeks to allow the damaged vain to heal completely. i did all this but it still did not stop. However, i didn't give up. i went back to the doctor and he advised that i should do endoscopic examination of Urethral Passage to trace the source of the blood. however, he warned that it is painful and might reveal anything. because of this scare, i decided to meet a different doctor as i was loosing faith in the doctors advice.

i meet a different doctor who is also an urologist. after narrating my story to the doctor and after she reviewed all the test i had carried out. she equally confirmed what the first doctor said, however, she said that the antibiotic cefixime is not strong enough to cure the wound and recommended that i should use a stronger antibiotics together with the diclofenac and this time i should abstain from sex for 6 weeks. no sex, no masturbation, infact that my penis should not be erect either in life or dream.

i did what she said and today am free from the problem. Therefore i will advice everybody not to give up. this problem is a known problem and with care and sex discipline it can be cured. The danger in just leaving with the problem is that it finally leads to prostrate cancer if not attended to.

regards.

I have had the same problem on and off for roughly 10yrs, after multiple trip to emergency rooms and urologist it was determined that i had a bladder infection. No clue as to why the blood only come after a "very intense orgasm" but after taking antibiotics for less than a week it was gone. Look into some AZO or other urinary health vitamine supplement and drink more water than anything else.

It happened to me also. More than once. I realized, finally, that it only happened during oral sex.

I use to get the exact same problem after rigorous straight sex.Turns out it was a mild prostate infection. I got some antibiotics off my doctor and had all the usual checks. occasionally it reoccurred (dark red urine, occasional blood clots the following day). I must have a have weakened a vein in my prostate gland/urethra (probably form the original infection. Haven't had the problem for over 7 years.

Hi, I had the same issue, before I go on about my very bad experiences, HERE IS THE SOLUTION: Lie on a bed, on your left side & relax.. Hang your penis over the edge into a bucket.. Urinate, it will work, although it will bypass the clot(s).. In order to engage the clot(s) you need to lift your penis up to the right side (towards the ceiling. (While you urinate.) You may have to repeat this several times throughout your day to clear it all.

This is what I discovered today, after hours of uncomfortably trying to pee with no success & a full bladder which I purposefully filled up by drinking a lot of fluids. The end result was a tonne of leech-looking clots! I'm talking at least 20. This is from too much pressure on the underside of my penis, when having sex.

I had the clots several times in the past & was always able to pass them when I urinated. But just recently I couldn't pass them for hours & I got worried as my bladder was filling up, so /I went to the A&E (ER).. Funny thing happened there, because the wanted a urine smaple.. haha I said I could give them a couple of drops of blood haha. Anyway from then on The torture ensued. After a bladder scan, to see how much was in there, the decided to do a flush, using a catheter.. VERY uncomfortable; a tube with at least a 12mm diameter getting shoved up your penis, right inside your bladder, it's horrible. & the whole time its in there, you have the urge to urinate very strongly & it hurts too. Meanwhile they are attaching a T-junction & pumping water back into your bladder to flush it. Pumping as hard & fast as the could too without much fluid draining back. After hours of waiting & being told to settle so that it comes out, they finally remove the catheter & uh-oh! coming out is worse than going in! As if it was glued in there. The nurse was pulling very hard & the Catheter was stretching as it was stuck in there.

I remember telling them several times that I just wanted to rip it out & take a piss, but they kept saying 'no that won't work'. Anyway, after it was removed, the doctor came to see me & told me that I had caused trauma to my pee-pipe. (Urethra). He gave me some advice, such as - Take a bath / have running water whilst trying to urinate etc. I knew the clot hadn't come out because I saw all that had gone into the urine bag. I asked the doc what to do if I still can't urinate. He said, unfortunately you will have to come back. So, on my way out of there, I decided to try to urinate in the toilets where the waiting room was.. I did it in the basin, because it may have been too splashy & messy in the toilet.. Sure enough my penis glubbed out some chunky jelly like clots! YES! & I left them sitting there as a reminder to anyone who sees it; it's not a nice place to be. & oh how it stung like hell for the next 24 hours or so everytime I urinated. I'm guessing it was because my Urethra was raw from the reaming that it got. Also I couldn't sit down in the car when I got my ride home, as it felt like my anus had been violated.

Gents I just started having urine in the blood and the first time was a result of gf playing with it to rough! The second time it was after dancing and bumping hard & fast no sex! I am guessing a small vein or so popped because I just went to ER! They did blood, urine, and cat scan & all negative! I have since gone to the bathroom many times and no blood! I would recommend being very gentle in how You treat your penis! I am also gonna go to urologist to follow up since I am 41! Take care

Have not given in to procedure #4.
Had I known then what I know now, I would have not given in to procedure #1.
It always happens after active stimulation/ ejaculation.
Cayenne in a 4 oz of water plus an ice pack in the scrotum area minimizes the hematuria/clots.
Since 2008 (last TURP) I've stayed away from all physicians.

I'm 36 years old and my first episode with this was over 4 years ago. Gentlemen, it is a very stressful experience and I understand your anguish. During the 4 years of this happening on and off I've done it all: Cytostophy, STD test, antibiotics, etc. I've had several episodes over these years but was symptom free for 2 years, until last night. Below is some things I found that maybe helpful for others in our situation.

PASSING CLOTS: Getting these clots out are a b***h but I'll recommend a couple things that's helped over the years. Drink a ton of water before and after sex. I'm talking 4-6 cups if possible. As soon as you notice blood in your semen (I've always noticed this) after intercourse head straight to the shower. Now the hardest part RELAX and BREATH. I am serious this is the toughest part, especially if you've had repeat episodes. The stress of passing these things makes it almost possible to relax. However, if you can relax, breath deeply, and have a "can do" attitude it will make passing the clots much easier.

CAUSES: Over time I attribute this condition to 3 factors. 1. Dehydration (always happens when I don't drink enough water, liquor and no h2o makes it worse). 2. Stress (all episodes are usually after stressful days/weeks. 3. Delayed ejaculation- Meaning getting in the mood several times or days before ejaculation.

POSSIBLE FIXES: I feel another reason for my episode last night is that I've laid off a vitiman regiment that I was doing for 2 years. I was real stupid for doing this as this is what I attribute my 2 years of symptom free ejaculation from. The vitiman regiment is a daily multivitamin, Sal Palmento, and Vitiman K2+D3. I learned of this regiment 2 years ago from a similar forum and it worked flawlessly. I stopped this regiment 3 weeks ago thinking I was cured, obviously I was wrong.

CLOSING: I recommend a couple of days to a week of no sex after your episode. However, don't let it stop your intimacy. If you know it's going to happen and you see blood after ejaculation follow the steps above. Know your not alone and that this is semi normal for some people. Keep up the good fight gentlemen!

This has been occurring to me for several years now. Had all tests, including the camera up the penis, (3 times) prostate, blood, anything they could think of. They finally decided, it wasn't gonna kill me, it would provably continue to happen and er, go away.

Had very much the same experience, I am a 44 year old male. Urologist, camera , herbalist etc, no change. My last bleeding experience lasted for 10 months +, consistently at least every few days, clots etc. After testing many different substances and tablets such as Avodart, finally I tried Buckwheat (Dehusked Buckwheat - Natures Choice), cut out all meds and sugar (substituted it with honey) as far as possible. Started to eat about three teaspoons buckwheat early morning after waking. After 2 weeks, miraculously - no bleeding, no clots. All's been fine for more than three months now. A huge relief, after seriously considering a "TURP" op as recommended by my Urologist, as the only option. Needless to say, I have not been to see any doctor again.

My husband has difficulty urinating He also has small blood clots and something like skin tissue that comes out of his penis. He already went to a urologist and inserted a catheter. It helped for a few weeks and same problems.
