your right about the gout .....and uric acid.... i wonder if anyone else has the high uric acid levels and or the gout on here which can also be mistaken for Arthritis .. because there this medication name colchine that tell you to stay way from rough activity's and it will cause bleeding but the gout is a older man problem 27+ so with medicaton or with out treatment of the gout it can happen, it can make you bleed because it tear your blood vessel ..so read up on blood vessels and gout

I just experienced this problem last night for the first time. I'm 31 and I masturbate to much as well 2-5 times a day. I've gotten into the habit of not using lube, and from what I am reading and what i know about my own behavior, I do believe it's directly related to masturbation.
I'm putting myself on the 15 day DL, and I'm going to find some new, more gentle methods to pleasure myself. I have been experiencing tenderness after masturbation sessions recently. Probably a warning sign of excessive wear and tear.

My doctor calls it retrograde ejaculaion, your giving yourself infections and getting clots.  The best thing to do is use a condom and pee after sex.  Plus ejaculaion once a day is the way to stay away from this problem.

I'm in the same boat as BCS. I'm a clean (no sexual disease) 45 year old male. I've been divorced and out of commission for five years, so masturbation is almost a necessity for me and sometimes it takes at least half an hour of 'jerking a stiffy' to achieve orgasm.

I tend to masturbate on the weekends and finish off into a clean towel. Sometimes, ejaculating sort of burns and other times it's okay. The trouble is during the week at work... I'm overcome by an overwhelming need to urinate to which I do, but sometimes it also burns and then there is some blood at the very end of the stream. And, there is a very heavy feeling somewhere around the extremities along with a constant urge to urinate even though I just peed a series of drips. It makes me very uncomfortable and very weird feeling. I'm thinking the issue is connected to masturbation in regards to perhaps how strong my grip is or the extent of the ejaculation. I keep the towel loose to allow the spent semen to collect and I'm careful not to compress the towel around the end of the penis in regards to over exerting the ejaculation. I'm thinking I blew out the ejaculation valve and it's permanently weakened now. I've abstained from masturbation for a few weeks and everything is better, but I can't hold out forever. ;p

 

I can't recall this issue occurring in my youth from rambunctious masturbation or with my ex-wife during nightly interludes.  I just thought to add my experience to what ya'll had reported in case someone has some info or whatnot. I should go in and get checked, but I find hospital visits to be very trying and stressful. I guess I'm hospital-phobic.

To all men experiencing this. Please do not try to self diagnose and get yourselves to a competent urologist immediately! I am 43, and for over three years I have had this problem usually after sex, only a few drops after I finished peeing or a couple of clots that cleared up within hours. every time it happened I went to my primary who ran a urine test and found no blood or infection. 2 years ago I demanded to see a urologist who ran my PSA , did ct to check my kidneys, prostate check and so on. I was diagnosed with prostisis and a uti and sent on my way. this year it has happened twice both times by the time I got to the Dr office it cleared up and again no blood was found on the urinalysis. I again demanded to see a different urologist to do a full examination including ct and cystoscopy. As soon as he went in, he saw multiple tumors in my bladder. I was 40 when my symptoms started and it was never picked up although I complained many times. Sometimes it was clots, sometimes it was just a drop or 2 of blood at the end. Do NOT ignore your symptoms even if they go away by the next day! I would come to this very site before my cancer diagnosis this week and read so many men having the same symptoms, and would just think it must be a common problem. Here I am now, 44 this month , the sole provider of my family with two small children facing a cancer that has been lingering in my system for years.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Same thing happened to my (late) brother only with bowel cancer. I only ever have blood and clots after sex with my girlfriend and never when masturbating. I have had all the tests so far including ultrasound which showed no masses or thickening in my bladder. All blood levels are normal and there are no infections. Urine tests show no cancer cells or microhaematuria (invisible blood) blood. I am waiting to see a Urologist to get a more informed opinion.

So I just had sex (unprotected) and everything with well had no issues but after I went to use the bathroom to urinate it was blood that I noticed coming out I freaked out for a minute and I wasn't feeling any pain other then my stomache from earlier. It was blood I didn't feel no pain or discomfort, this never happened to me before and Iam 26 years old so iam just lost until I see a doctor?? Any suggestions??

I am 16 years old and I've had unprotected sex with girls who sleep around. It's been painful to urinate for about 3 months now and just a minute ago while I was struggling to urinate a little bloodclot came out. I haven't had sex for a few weeks, but last night I drank a 60oz bottle of liquor with my buddy and smoked a couple packs of cigarettes. Maybe that has something to do with it? I am dehydrated so I'm thinking that my body is just in bad shape right now. Perhaps my acidic urine hurt my urethra.

Hey guys. I have it too; I'm 33, non-smoker, drink too much, overweight.

First incidence was about 2 years ago I think. I freaked out like we all do, went to my GP, he said that can happen but usually self-limits. I tried to hold off masturbating for a while, went a week or so I think, and it just happened again, and then a following time after that I got an unpassable clot as others here have, went to GP and he sent me for an ultrasound, which found the clot in my bladder, then to hospital for overnight catheritization. That cleared the clot, and eventually my pee was clear and I could go home. They chalked it up to rough play, and prior to the first episode of bleeding I had had some slightly rougher sex so I hoped they were right.

It was fine for a few months but then returned about a year ago. Figuring it would self-limit again, I tried not to masturbate for about three weeks. Which was more difficult than I expected; what then happened instead was I had a wet bloody dream :( and woke up with blood in the sheets leaking out of my penis. *sigh* Back to the GP, prostate checked again - felt normal to the GP, and PSA was normal - and urine analysis, also all normal, and this time had a cystoscopy, which I should've had previously following my discharge from hospital. That turned up nothing either though. I had read here that people had had some luck, if anecdotally, taking vitamin E supplements, so I thought I'd try that - started taking 3 500UI tablets per day, and low and behold the bleeding did end very soon after (like within a week or so), however that may've been coincidence.

Probably was, because now it's returned yet again. I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure, tried a med for that just before christmas but it gave me diarrhea so I discontinued it and neglected to go back over the christmas period for a different one :/ Two weeks ago there was a small amount of blood in my semen, and I thought uh oh - not just because it might be back again, but because also in my reading I'd discovered it might be linked to high blood pressure and I figured it was still high or higher than when last checked. So I went to the GP that day and found out my BP was 185/104, which is prettttty high. I thought ok, well, maybe that's it then - my (new) GP concurred it was possible. Started new BP meds and my BP was coming down and I masturbated last monday but it was still copious blood, thankfully I passed the clot okay. Waited til yday to try again and it was fine; gloriously fine hah. So I really REALLY hoped I'd solved it finally; the blood pressure was either the cause or a significant contributing factor. Buuuut..

I shoulda quit while I was ahead; tried again today (i guess really just because I wanted to see if it WAS fine now or a fluke; was desperate for the latter), and had lots n lots of blood. I did have a sort-of ache, or feeling of fullness, in my prostate area yday, but wasn't sure if it meant anything other than that I was turned on and hadn't been able to ejaculate for a few days (and despite arousal.) However that's what it was like when I tried to go the three weeks without masturbating too though; the feeling of increased 'horniness' for want of a better word and urge to relieve the pressure/ache/fullness down there. Cept that the prostate checks have never turned up anything. So I don't know. Maybe the blood pressure does contribute, and it being brought down is why yesterday was ok. I probably should've waited longer, in case things still need to settle down or heal. Guess we'll see what happens next, but I dunno what to do because masturbation has a real risk of a clot I can't pass, but not masturbating is increasingly difficult to manage and will probly result in nocturnal bleeding if I do - which presumably could clot as well *shrug* :(

note: one other thing is I had a small benign thing in my right testicle that was diagnosed years and years ago; some doctors have dismissed it but a cpl have said it could be contributing, maybe bleeding or something but that it'd be hard to find out. I've never had kidneys directly checked except through blood testing, which has always been fine. I dunno.
