Hi,
About a month ago I noticed a small little bump forming on the bottom of my index finger. I thought nothing of it assuming it was probably some sort of weird zit or something.
Since then it's grown to be a bit larger in size. There is absolutly no pain involved with it at all. I can touch it directly and anywhere around it with no pain.
A week or so ago, I decided to squeeze it a little to see if there was possibly any puss in it, but after doing so I found absolutly no visible puss. BUT, it bled like crazy. There was still no pain but the bleeding was constant and for hours it seemed. I wrapped it in gauze and a bandaid and the next day it had scabbed over.
The following pictures are what it currently looks like today. The first pic is a straight on shot of it and the second, though a bit blurred is from a side angle to give an idea of the 'height' or how much it's swollen out past the finger itself.
Has anyone observed anything like this before? Is there a forum here that would be better suited for this question?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts :)

This may be ganglion cyst. Ganglyon cysts may appear on hand or fingers, like painful or painless bumps. They also may be soft of hard, so, almost anything that appears may be diagnosed as ganglion cyst. They are likely to grow bigger or to disappear on their own. I heard that NSAIDs are used in this condition, but I would suggest you to visit dermatologist and get professional diagnosis. I hope that this helped, maybe only because of you heard that sore on your finger is not that unusual. As I know, ganglions use to disappear on their own, and as you said that it was painless it wouldn’t interfere to your normal activities.
Anything else that I can remember as a cause of the sore can be tick’s or spider’s bite. I guess that arthritis is excluded.
