Hi, I have an 18 month old boy. This morning when I changed his diaper I noticed nothing different. I put the new diaper on and as I was about to close it I noticed a little bit of blood on my finger, I was looking to see where it came from and when I pulled his foreskin back that's where I noticed the blood. I cleaned it and there was no further bleeding. I waited to see when he urinated and the diaper was clear, no blood. I've been checking all day, and there is no more blood. But I noticed that it's red. He has no fever and he doesn't look like he is in any pain. What can this be?

My Son 14 months old has same condition.The Pediacs did urinalysis and tested for UTI.All came negative,there was no blood in his urine and precribed antibiotics.
Did you find out what was goin on with your son.How was he treated.

This actually happened to my 7 month old son recently. I noticed blood where the head of the penis and the foreskin meet at the area where he was circumcised during a diaper change and freaked out. It wasn't a lot of bleeding but enough to put a ring of blood around that area and some light pink patches on his diaper. I immediately took him to his pediatrician and was told that it is common these days for doctors to leave excess skin in a circumcision and that the skin had adheared itself to one side of the penis underneath and had been agitated and pulled and caused the bleeding. The doctor pulled it apart and cleaned it up and advised me to grab the foreskin from the sides once a day, morning diaper change is a good time, and to pull it back towards the base and then apply vaseline(I use A&D ointment). I also make sure I pull the foreskin back(very gently
Of course) during bath time to make sure he is cleaned and rinsed very thoroughly with warm water. I also make sure he is dried thoroughly before I put a diaper on him after bath time. This worked out very well for us!
