iam severley concerned, for the last couple of days in the morning ive had light tinged blood in my saliva.

If this occurs after you brush your teeth, it's pretty normal. It shouldn't be because it's a sign of some kind of dental abnormality, but nothing severe. Many people get bleeding during brushing from brushing too hard, sensitive gums, plaque build up, and others.

If this isn't connected to brushing, wait another week. If you're still bleeding, call the dentist and make an appointment.
