Has anyone also lost a load of weight because they can't eat from this? I've gone from 190 pounds to 130 in a year because of this all tests have come back negative I have nothing left. I have thought about suicide so many times because it's giving me no quality of life

I am totally amazed at the amount of people experiencing the same thing...only mine happens every 2-3 days, not weeks or a couple times a year....very sever, extreme sweating to the point I cannot touch myself, 2 movements constipated, then 1 loose, then 5 movements diarrhea; vomiting, dizziness, constant fever of +2 degrees or more; Pain while having movement; Doctor says IBS; I don't think so as no medications have helped; keeps doing blood work and nothing....I can't hold a job as I don't know when this will hit again!

Thank goodness for sites like this. I used to have episodes as described by others- sudden extreme heat as if I was going to combust, darkening vision and the feeling I was going to pass out plus discomfort- all just having a bowel movement. Finally, I was diagnosed with coeliac disease and since being gluten free for 18 months I haven't had a single episode. Worth trying? I'm also now virtually headache free too. Huge relief!

Wow, I'm both happy and sad to find a conversation about this! I was beginning to think I'm all alone. I just had another attack and I'm recuperating in bed. I have the same pain, sweating, and lying on the floor with no clothes in an attempt to cool. I've been taken to the hospital for it twice. It used to be about once a month, then it became weekly, now it is about every 4 days. The docs say there is nothing medically wrong, that we are "all different". I know something is wrong or my gut would not be this crazy! There are just so many variables to deal with. I just got a new App called BM Pro so I can track each BM and record the side effects. Right now mine are preceded by really smelly gas, which is embarrassing to say the least. I'm also starting a Food Journal so I have some concrete "data" to show my doc. I stopped drinking milk a long time ago but I may have other issues with lactose. I switched from whole wheat bread and whole wheat pasta back to regular white bread and rice pasta. I no longer feel bloated but it has had no effect on my BMs. I'm going to eliminate ALL dairy for two weeks and see if there is any change. I also know soda is bad for me so I'm cutting that out cold turkey too. I'm just so tired of being sick like this I'm willing to give up ANYTHING so long as it cures this problem. Less soda means more water so that might help. I'll report back in a couple weeks! PS: has anyone had luck using the "Squatty Potty". It is suppose to ease elimination by repositioning our body on the toilet. I'm considering a purchase. Just wondering if anyone found it helpful?

Thank God im not the only one i have all the same symptoms, sweating, nausea, dizzyness, heart pounding, the most horrible pain i have ever had in life(and i have had 4 c-sections),almost passing out. I had an episode today & i managed to drag myself to my bedroom & layed on my stomach while in my mind begging God to not let me die,all while bm in my pants i know thats horrible but i had no choice. I was so weak i could not yell & i could not get to my phone to call 911 this was by far the worst one i have had to date! The laying on my stomach did help it pass quicker than usual & helped with the pain! I was drooling & i could not move! Im so scared of what this might be & i have been having these attacks for about 3 yrs now they stared once every 4 months now i have noticed that they are more frequent & the pain is getting worse! I have a Dr. Appt in a couple weeks & i pray they can find out what it is & make it stop! Im glad i found this forum & i hope at least one of us will find the truth & what is really causing this because when that pain hits sometimes i feel lime i would rather die than go through this! I wish you all luck & if ANYONE finds the answer PLEASE let me know!

I thought i was the only one. So glad im not. I been having these episodes for years now. My last one was on Saturday morning 1am. I woke with severe stomach pain and hot and sweating. I ended up passing out as usual and broke my nose and damaged my eye and had alot of carpet burns. I still hadnt been able to pass any bm so sat down to rest my stomach which was still in agony. All of a sudden with no warning i had the most severe diorreah I've ever had. I felt disgusting. I got a encosopy in November this year. I hope they find a cure for us sufferers.

I too have the same symptoms. It starts at night, while I'm asleep, I woke up with severe cramping and quickly escalate to the point that I'm either pass out or lay on the bathroom floor in a puddle of sweat gasping for air and praying not to die. My episodes are back to an average of twice a year now, at one point I gained so much weight that I had one or two episodes a month. What helps me is water. As soon as the level of pain woke me up I drink as much water as I can. It's usually sips of water because after few minutes I fell like everything is about to came out the wrong way, but this help me with the duration of the episodes and the intensity of the pain (which is still extremely severe, but at least I no longer pass out)

I figured out what this is. It's the pelvic floor muscles not relaxing causing a back up in bowel movements.

Check with a colorectal doctor. Could be pelvic floor spasms

Hello! I too suffer from this but I figured out what it was finally! I've been probed and checked out by an MRI. I have muscles in the pelvic area that have spasms and tightness. Because of this....I was suffering from trying to have a normal bowel movement. It's called nonrelaxing puborectalis muscle. Go to a colorectal doctor and ask for a defecogram mri. It was how I figured our my issues.

This happened to me last night. Very painful cramps, hot, cold chills, sweating, feel like I am going to pass out and throw up at the same time. Feel like I am dying. I had to bang on the wall to get my husband to open the bathroom door and to bring me so water. Which did help. While it was happening my whole body was tingling. I remember one other time this happened, that time my fingers locked up and II couldn't move my fingers. They were stuck in the bent position for a while. I have been weak all day and going on my 3rd day of achy body, hot but bones feel cold and headaches.

Good to see I'm not the only one going through this. It occurs around three - four times a year and usually happens after I haven't been to the toilet after 3 days. (Not all the time though). I wake up with pains in my stomach thinking oh know, here it is again. The stools are very soft, almost diarrhea and I am in excruciating pain every time I need to pass a stool. The pain would ease up and then build up again when I needed to pass more. The only time the pain eases up is when my bowel has completely emptied. It drains my body and I break out into a massive sweat thinking I am going to die or need to go to hospital. I have had 3 x induced labours and would have to say the pain would have to be more intense..
