I just had my Bravo done 5 days ago. It hurts sooo bad! I wish I had done more research before I agreed to do it. I feel like I am being chocked, it is much worse than the acid reflux I was experiencing. They should stop doing this procedure.

I had the Bravo inserted yesterday. Started having stabbing chest pains, sternum in center of chest, before I left hospital. It's continued intermittently. Much worse than any acid reflux. In fact, if I have acid reflux now, I wouldn't hardly notice because stabbing Bravo pain much worse. Wish I'd read these posts beforehand.

I just had Bravo test took the machine back I'm okay until I eat when I eat I get a chest pains and goes through my back I can feel it but it's not too bad just can't wait until that capsule Falls so I don't get these chest pains anymore

I too have chest pain when swallowing, even liquids. First day was very painful, I'm on day 6 now and as long as I'm careful it hurts about every 3rd bite, and no that bad. I can feel it in there all the time, but it's more annoying than painful. Take tiny bites/sips, and chew everything for twice as long as you normally would! And NO BREAD, from what I can tell bread never chews up it just turns into a blob lol. I have had the catheter ph monitoring, and trust me, that hurts WAY WORSE than the Bravo. Also makes you look like the Borg.

I'm glad I looked this up. I had mine done on Tuesday it is now Sunday and it still hurts. No one believes me it hurts to eat, drink and just sit there. I get aggrivated trying to eat so I have barely eatten. Last night I made margaritas and I will say it didn't have much alcohol in it but the coolness on my throat felt great for once. So I recommend slushies and ice cream. Hopefully this goes away soon. I'm glad I didn't research before I had it done.

I had the procedure 2 days ago, day of procedure, no problems. Day 2 I began to have terrible pain in my back with swallowing anything, saliva, water, milk, mashed potatoes, or regular solid food. I broke down and took Zantac. This is day three, I awakened with the pain in my back, worsens with swallowing Anything, broke down and took Protonix. Had I not just had the procedure I would have sworn I was having a heart attack, and went to the ER. For nearly 48 hours I mashed buttons, kept up with times, and wrote in the diary. I turned it all in this morning, to the local hospital's Endo Lab and began to explain some of my symptoms, (severe pressure in my chest, radiating through to my back off and on for several hours) and was simply told, "I'm sorry you had such a hard time with it". After reading your stories I have convinced myself that perhaps I will not die from a heart attack any time soon!

I just had this done on March 6, 2018, I woke up crying in so much pain. The nurse told me the procedure does not hurt like I was hurting. I insisted on see the doctor who done it, he told me he had to insert the bravo twice cause the first one didn't take. He also took a biopsy of my esophagus too. Told me when I got home to take some tynoil for the pain. I got home and was hurting so bad just went to sleep. Woke in the evening and tried to eat some soup and it hurt so bad. Next day I was pain free, didn't feel to bad eating. Now its been a week. I have had a very bad ear ache and now I have an echo in my ear when I am talking. I wonder how long this will last!!!

I had the BRAVO capsule placed 2 days ago and no matter what I eat or drink I get horrible pain in the middle of my chest. I’ve tried liquids versus solids but it doesn’t matter. I am a nurse, I know my body pretty well and I have a considerable tolerance to pain....THEY LIED! I went on-line and I have read hundreds of accounts that say exactly the same thing. I am miserable. I wish they had been honest and prepared me, the severity of the pain took me by surprise and scared me...I thought maybe I had perforated something. Seriously furious that I was mislead’

Just had bravo Friday. Today is Wednesday. I Still have horrific chest pain and pain between shoulder blades any time I eat or drink anything! They never told me this was a possibility! I’m absolutely miserable. How long before this thing falls off and will it for sure????
