I'm totally freaking out about breaking my hymen or having it broke. Does anyone have any answers on how to over come this fear??

i had sex for the first time on saturday night and it hurt like hell, so much it didn't exactly go past the second penetration.
it hurt a little when i was in bed afterwards, but it stopped after that.
it's two days after and i'm bleeding a little, but only when i go to the bathroom. i guess my hymen broke but i'm wondering if it's gonna break a second time. someone i know said that since i'm young it'll heal quickly so it'll hurt if i leave it for too long, but i don't think i'll be having sex til at least another month.. will it hurt again?

The first time I had sex the same thing happened to me, I actually kept bleeding for a good four days (heavily the first day -but less than a normal period- and it continued for at least four days and I was quite sore during those days. My second time having intercourse, I also bled, but not as much as before. I never bled again after that!Do not worry as long as it isn't a heavy flow of blood, then this will go away with time , I hope I was able to help :-)

im not a doctor but my hyman just broke about four days ago (not from sex he just has very big fingers) and ive bled a little bit each day since, so yeah id say thats probably normal i know its broken because the tear is very visible . my problem is urination its unbearably painful if urine gets on the tear. how long till it heals and i stop having to hold it???? is it possible for it to get infected?

in reference to the previous post: to me, it sounds like more then your hymen tore...that sort of pain is more like a cut on a "deeper" level to me. either way i would give it 7-10 days

This is normal for some females. If you have a hymen that is broken during sex (or whatever) is it not uncommon for you to bleed. My first time, I bled just like my period. I didn't bleed any times after that. Now as for you bleeding during/after sex, if may be that having sex brought on your period....it may have been lingering so to say, and penetration brought it on. In my opinion, as long as there isn't any overwhelming pain or any tissue like discharge or discharge at all (with or without an odor), there probably isn't any problem.

I had sex for the first time yesterday. When he finally pulled out he told me I was bleeding a little so he stopped. When I got home, there was blood all over my panties and I thought I started my period. But the next morning the bleeding stopped. So then I thought my cherry popped. But it still bleeds a little every now and then for the past 18 hours, but not as it should when you are on your period. What is wrong with me? PLEASE HELP !

so you'd rather lose your virginity to a vibrator ?? well guess it beats the "getting attached to the man" part

hey now... you should tell him the truth... being your girlfriends first is a great honor, whether its his first or not... its something you remember... and I think you should include him in that memory, right? and hell be too busy having sex with you to mind the bleeding... sure its a little odd... but guys break hymens during sex... ive never heard one complain about it, they are happy THEY were your first.

Hey everyone.
Heres my deal. Me and my boyfriend have been wanting to have sex and while he's not a virgin, I am so i'm a bit nervous about the whole deal. More so on how much it's going to hurt. Most people say that it hurts like hell the first few times but after that it starts to feel better.
Just kinda wondering what to expect.
Also, is there a time of month where you would have a lesser chance of getting pregnant then other times of the month?
Thanks.

He'll be nervous too i bet... I wouldn't like the idea of hurting my girlfriend and stuff so i'm pretty sure it's a nervous wreck for you's both (girls more so!) It can hurt, yes. but only for a while, try use lube! make sure it's the type that won't break down the condom... i heard some pretty bad stories... ,
the ovulation stage... i've no idea when that is! Google is our friend... use it! So try be extra safe around the ovulation stage...
other than that, TRY TO RELAX!! i know it'll be hard to... but it'll make it easier... ask him to massage you or something first or anything that you think could help... i'm sure he'd do it if you asked... GOOD LUCK!

Hello everyone!
So I'm several years older than my girlfriend and am truly in love for the first time in my life. The catch is, I've been with a plethora of women, and my love has never been with anyone before. I was the first guy she even kissed.
I know a lot about the female anatomy from my exploits in the military and college, and am fairly certain I can ensure her maximum arousal when we take the plunge, however I am terrified because I don't want to hurt her. I've been with virgins before, but never really cared if they bled or hurt (wasn't always a nice guy), but I want her first time to be amazing and magical and memorable.
I'm scared because I'm a 6'2, 240 college athlete (proportionately built if you get the meaning) and she's a 5'4 100 pound hottie. Is it a foregone conclusion that I am going to hurt her given our relative body sizes or would her body adjust if I spend the time to warm her up sufficiently prior? I've read that the vagina can expand up to 4 times it's width, but is the penetration what is hurting or is it the hymen ripping? And can you just get the hymen out of the way long beforehand with finger work? Is it possible to tear it without bleeding if you just go slow and meticulous?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. We may or may not make love prior to getting married, but in either case, I want to be prepared so it isn't something she remembers in horror. Thanks again.
