I just recently had sex for the first time with my boyfriend (We're both 20 and it was the first time for both of us). The very first time he tried to put his penis in, he was on top, and it wouldn't go inside. So we tried a different position. I was on top and eventually, his penis did go in. I could feel some tearing down there when his penis was going inside me, So I know my hymen was torn. It did hurt, and there was quite a bit of blood. After a few minutes, we switched positions again so he could have control, and we tried it with him from behind me. It still hurt and kept bleeding. A few hours later, we tried again, hoping that it wouldn't hurt or bleed anymore, and it didn't for the most part. There was barely any blood, and slight pain when he inserted his penis. My hymen before having sex, was a small circle with some skin around it. Now, after intercourse, it's still there. It's a little bigger, but still pretty small. I thought that it would have completely broken during sex, and I wouldn't have it there anymore. Is there something wrong? Or is that normal? Also, does this mean that he's going to have to stretch me out every time we have sex, or will my hymen eventually go away?

I was wondering the same thing.
I've searched online and didn't really find anything.
Hopefully someone will know! ):

Hi guest, sometime it will just wear away when your using tampons or it will when you start having intercourse so don't worry :-)

Depends on the woman. For some their hymen never really goes away since it can repair itself. For others it naturally thins out before first sex. That aside bleeding and pain during intercourse even your first time is the result of not enough foreplay and lubrication. Also stimulate the clitoris to relax the muscles during penetration.
