I had a hysterectomy at the age of 30, went thru menopause at 55. At 61 I had a double bypass (1-6-05) and have had 5 stints and an angioplasy since then. I am presently having a heavy brown sticky discharge. I am on several meds for prevention of future blockages. Could these drugs cause this type of side effect? I obviously am over burdened with medical bills and don't want to incur anymore if possible. If you could please help me avoid an another doctors bill it would be most appreciated.

In all honestly had you NOT had a hysterectomy the first thought to my mind is uterine cancer, which would have those signs at 62 years of age.

However this is something that requires a doctors visit most certainly!

I have searched for about four years for help for the same problem. I had a complete hysterectomy at age 40. I am 64 now. About 4 years ago I began having constant bladder infections and a vaginal discharge. I never had problems with discharge since my hysterectomy. My family doctor sent me to a gynocologist. She said "atrophy" from old age and gave me estrogen. Didn't help much. Family doctor sent me to Urologist. He did a cystoscopy. Did not find anything. Put me on prophylactic antibiotics. After about two years the bladder infections stopped. I quit the antibiotics and began taking cranberry pills, etc. STILL having discharge. Went back to Gynocologist. She said can't find anything wrong. Must be bladder leakage. I said it can't be because most of the time it is clear, then sometimes brown like old blood, and it stops for about 24 hours when I take a bath. She says she is sending me BACK to Urologist.
One of the questions from the Urologists paperwork I have to fill out before the appointment is "are you extremely depressed"? HELL YES!!!! Why can't doctors who are supposed to be specialists find out what is wrong?????
