I have some excess fat on my tummy and I was planning to have a tummy tuck. However, I am still thinking about it because I dont like surgical procedures. Do you think that this will give me better result then excercise? Is it better to build up my abdominal muscles myself?

It is a major surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen. Also, it is a procedure to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. It can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen but it does produce a permanent scar. This scar can extend from hip to hip, depending on the extent of the original problem and the surgery required correcting it. Abdominoplasty produces excellent results for patients with weakened abdominal muscles or excess skin. However, I am not sure that this is what you need.
