Hi. I am new on here. There is a question for all adderall users. I started taking adderall about 4 months ago 60mg.day. A few days ago I started noticing my breast were really sore and then noticed lumps in them. I went to my family doctor that didnt seem to be too concerend, but Ive made an appointment with my gynocologist. The reason Im thinking its the adderall is because a friend of mine said she had masses come on her breast when she was on adderall in the past!Anyone ever heard of this? I am already a hypocondriac, so i tend to worry alot very easily.I just need to know whether it is from using the adderall or not.

I get them just around ovulation, and they last straight through the first day or two of my period. The swelling of the lumps seem to go down. I had a mammogram, and it's not the standard hormonal lumpiness, but it's not cancerous, either. I was thinking they might be related to my adderall prescription when a lady at church mentioned that caffeine does this. I remembered that adderall has issues with dehydrating people, and also works on the brain a lot like caffeine does. Now I'm wondering if adderall is working on my breast like caffeine does.

It's actually quite painful. It feels like a plugged duct, which is NOT fun. I really don't want to see the specialist, because there are no female breast specialist in this area. It was sucky enough to go to my FP for this. I couldn't get into my gyno.

I’ve been on adderall for 6 months and about 2 months ago I started to notice lumps in my breasts. I went to a breast specialist and I was diagnosed w cystic fibrosis of the breasts. I have many cysts and had to have one aspirated (drained) bc it got so big and painful. The rest didn’t hurt or bother me until the last couple of weeks now they seem to b getting bigger and hurt. So I started researching and it’s hard to find info on it but obviously there r other people finding this problem. I wondered the same thing if it had to do w the fact that caffeine can cause this, even tho adderall isn’t caffeine I wondered if there was a correlation. I am also having terrible muscle pain which I’m sure is mostly being caused by the med. So I hate to get off because it’s really helped in some ways but there just seems to b to many consequences to it.

Thanks for this. I’ve had fibrocystic breasts since high school, they went away when on dual hormone birth control, and return when off. I consistently had 6 days from the start of discomfort until the first day of my menstrual cycle. The # of days with pain from the cysts increased to 8, 11, 10, 13, and then 14 days beginning the first month of adderral, and the pain is much worse than before.
