Hello, I need some help fast! Can blood stool of my baby be a sign of dehydration? She is only 9 months old and I really cannot see that there is something wrong with her, but the stool is a proof there is something going on. How can I determine that? Is there some med I can give her for the stool problem?

Perhaps there is but without doctor’s help I would not take just anything. Seriously, the best thing for you is to take your baby to the doctor asap, don’t fool around with this condition. It might be nothing, we hope that is the case, but also it might be something that needs treating. So, don’t waste any more time!

There was a time I had fed my then 1 year old some salmon and there was a small amount of blood in her stool. Of coarse I was worried, so I did some research to find out what the problem was and I was to find that what she had was an allergic reaction and it was said that it isnt a big deal aslong as the problem went away upon taking away the salmon. As it did. So it may be something that your baby is eating. Might be something you want to bring up to your doc.....hope this helps.
