I read something about a birth defect where children are born with some toes, but they are so small that you can hardly see them. Unfortunately I can't recall the name of this condition now, but it was fascinating, in a nerdy geeky way, any way. Please tell me if children with extremely small toes are able to learn to walk?

Your child should be able to learn to walk because if you think about it they would just learn to walk on the sole not ball of their foot.

If not when they are wearing shoes cotton wool up the end may help.
