Hi, folks. My grandfather has been experiencing some prostate problems. Finally, he agreed to see a doctor and it seems that he has a prostate cancer with metastasis. I have been reading something about estrogen therapy, but I am not sure if it can help in his case. What do you think?

Hi to you too. I am afraid that once the prostate cancer has spread, you cannot expect it can be cured. All the treatment that is being done in that case is palliative. Estrogen can be administrated in order to reduce the effects of testosterone. However, I think that radiotherapy will be necessary. Sometimes, testicles can be removed in order to reduce the effects of testosterone. I couldn’t give you more info. Consult a specialist. Good luck!
