No need to melt it, just use it as is. However, I would recommend something a bit more fluid. Perhaps baby oil or hand cream?

I would recommend not using items such as cardboard. If you us hard abrasive items it may, over time, affect your ability to orgasm taking longer and requiring more intense, firm, stimulation and stroking. In that scenario sex becomes more work than pleasure especially when with a partner.

Not me, it's cheap, doesn't smell, and great to use. Petroleum jelly has tiny mental pieces in it, not a good for jerking off. Albolene is alright, but I think it's too creamy, not enough friction for me. A lot of porn sites suggest using it, but can get kind of pricey. I got 6 oz on Amazon for $13, wow.
