can i mix paxil w/ alcohol

he just wanted to know if he could have a drink. good freaking god guys its a yes or no its not "im gonna devote my life to alcohol"  it was "am i allowed to once in a while have a drink with dinner or should i be weary of a side effect"?

I was on paxil a couple of years ago and had only a few drinks and neally commited sucide jumping off a bridge i didnt fear anything i ran out into the road screaming felt like i was losing my mind went into a major panic and lost my self and reality i felt like i had no control over myself or my body and my depression got worse i was fearless but in a bad way if it wasn't for my boyfriend to hold me back and talk to me ii wouldn't be here im no longer on the medication because it didn't agree with me and made my sucidal thoughts worse. If you do drink maybe just be careful and be around people i woke up the next morning thinking it was a bad dream then realizing it was reality

What a mean-spirited reply, to assume that just because you don't have any problem with drinking on paxil, that nobody must. I blame people like you for the reason we're on paxil. Learn kindness.

Alcohol is a depressant. If you are taking Paxil for depression you cannot drink - period. You have to let the medicine do its job. If you drink, your will feel even worse.

I think you are just addicted to alcohol and blame the Paxil.
