I have smoked since I was 16 everyday after work. Probably 2-3 smallish joints a night. I am now 29 and have quit due to a new job. It’s been 24 days so far and I am also really tired! I want to nap every time I sit down. It has nothing to do with my diet as I have always eaten healthy and kept myself fit. I feel like it is just my body sorting itself out! Fingers crossed it goes away in time because I actually love napping so it’s not good for me haha

I quit smoking about two weeks ago after 18 years of smoking daily, and I wake up so tired after a full 8 hours of sleep, which never happened when I was smoking. I've been reading that smoking weed changes your sleep architecture, and your body has to adjust. When you smoke weed you spend less time in stage 3 REM sleep and more time in stage 4 deep sleep. You need both, and when you quit smoking you start making up the REM sleep, which is why you've probably noticed you are dreaming a lot more now (or at least remembering your dreams). I think our bodies just need to adjust and slip back into a "natural" sleep cycle/architecture, without substances constantly in our system. I'm expecting to start feeling better again after about a month, but it took me 18 years to get to this point, so I can't imagine that I would go back to normal after just two weeks. Hang in there folks!

So I have smoked for the last 15 years, about 2 oz a month, I’ve been off of it all for the last month solid, and I haven’t been so exhausted. I wasn’t sure what could be causing it.. I’m a type one diabetic as well so I was worried other problems causing this. Currently sitting in the hospital waiting to get seen.. wish me luck

For me too.
When it became a daily habit, i figured my sleeping was being disturbed. You might not notice it, because weed will mask it, but in reality you dont get a REAL rest when you are high (it makes it easier to sleep, at least for me).
Whenever i start quitting (cold turkey, of course) the tiredness comes like an anvil. I just quit again last sunday, and i've been exhausted all week (besides, the night sweats wont allow me to sleep continously). Today, im feeling good.

Take care of yourself. Under the effects, ive noticed i dont really pay attention to my body. Most of your pains will get masked and you will keep adding to it (i noticed it on my lower back. i tend to slouch on my chair....)

Howdy y’all! I was shmokin for 20 years. Bowl b4 work/school, 2 at lunch, and as much as I could after work. Married, kids, I slowed moved to Tx, slowed waaaaay down by choice….here the catch, as I slowed it was like my tolerance was lowing so I was experiencing a crazy drop in energy. Once I was used to it and regained my energy I quit all the way and Holly c**p I had to readjust all over again. It’s been rough as I am now on day 5 and sleep 8hours at night, wake up tired, coffee helps for as long as I drink it but it makes my heart goes nuts and then all
Of the energy departs and my body becomes super heavy. It’s the body workin those molecules out…embrace and be careful not to form a new habit while kicking this one. Rehabs will
Issue you antidepressants…again, be careful as that does not make sense if it’s just arriving after quitting. Stay strong, hydrate hydrate hydrate

I am 28, I had been smoking daily since I was 23. I have now quit for 6 weeks and I feel SO tired. Way more tired than I was before. I sleep 10 hours a night when I used to sleep 7 hours, and have a hard time waking up. My memory however has come back to normal. Since quitting I am perpetually tired and have 0 motivation. I wish I could know how much longer this will last.

Same here man I quit 9 days ago after for smoking for 16 years pretty much everyday!

I’ve never been so tired in my life I feel rough I feel sick nauseated..

Sleeping isn’t a problem staying asleep is now a major issue..

We’ve just all got to ride through the storm when you’ve smoked for over 10 years it’s a complete lifestyle change..

What was once normal now isn’t and our minds have got to learn to cope and adapt all these things take time I guess but it’s for the best..

Stay strong everyone much love to you all we’ve done an amazing thing be proud, be vigilant it’ll get better and easier..

Love and respect ✊
