Couldn't find what you looking for?

my dad is diagnosed with stage four lung cancer and since the disease has taken a big toll on him he is decided not to go through more chemotherapy and radiation since all they do at this point is make him even sicker. He is 70 and has come to terms with his illness, and even though all this has been really hard on the whole family, we’re trying to make the time he has left as comfortable as we can. Few days ago dad has expressed his desire to visit his sister and the rest of our family which would require a plain ride, but I’m not sure if that is possible since he can’t go on plain without his oxygen tank.

Hi Suzz,

Check with his doctors first and then contact the airline.  They may require a note stating that he requires supplemental oxygen.

You could also consider another form of transportation, maybe a train.

Good luck to you all.
