Hello,

my dad was recently diagnosed with non-small stage I lung cancer and he is currently awaiting surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. But the first symptom that made him go to the doctor in the first place - persistent cough that even made him vomit - did not get better at all. If anything, things are even worse now since his coughing fits can last up to an hour and exhaust him horribly.

Our family physician could only suggest Benadryl as a sort of temporary relief and forwarded us to an oncologist, but we’re still waiting for that appointment as well. Anyone has any idea how to relieve this terrible cough?
