My mother is 63 and she has cataract. She is also diabetic, so doctor already warned her about the possibility of this condition. She was complaining about poor vision for a long time. Anyway she needs a surgery. I know that is not a big procedure but I am still worried. What are the risks of the cataract surgery?

Oh, I don’t think that you should be worried. My grandmother had cataract surgery few years ago. It is really successful operation. I think that like only 1 in 1000 or even more has problems after cataract surgery. As I remember my granny recovered fast. She used some drops after and antibiotics.

My mum had her cataract removed yesterday and she is amazed at the difference, she said that the most painfil part of the whole proceedure was peeling the tape off her face to remove the patch 24 hrs later. She cried in pure joy as everything became much clearer and detail she has not seen ina long time also became sharper and alot brighter. She is 75 and is just so grateful she had this done, its given her a new lease of life. Hope this helps !!!!!
