I have been having a clear odorless anal discharge off and on for a few years now. It's never been too frequent and hasn't happened in about a 5 months until today again. I have had a little diahhrea today, nothing bad. But it seems to happen at those times. Not every time though. It has a lube like consistency. No other problems/symptoms in that area.

It is hard to tell should you be worried or not. Since you are suffering from this condition for about five years I think that maybe it is time to visit your doctor to determine why this is happening to you. Usually anal discharge is symptom of some anal problem or poor anal hygiene.
Are there any other symptoms which you can connect to this condition?
There are few conditions which can be cause of anal discharge but anyway you will have to see your doctor and let him to do the examination. He will probably take a sample of this discharge. After diagnosing he will be able to let you know about treatment options. Hopefully nothing serious is in question.
