Would my Dr. Have missed something? I have had
-CT scan with contrast o head and neck area
-MULTIPLE Xrays of head,neck, throat
-Barium swallow Xray
-Ultrasound of neck area
-MULTIPLE different types of blood work
-upper and lower GI with biopsies
-Prior (5-6 years ago) have had EKG, stress tests, 24 and 48 hour Holter monitor
I'm beginning to think I may have lymphoma because of how swollen my neck feels (small lump near adams apple which Dr says is my anatomy) And my night sweats. I have noticed a swelling above the right side above my collar bone which feels like gel also.
I also have been a heavy drinker for over 6 years (3-6 or more drinks per night)
I have seen an 2 different ENT's, al 2 different GP's, multiple ER doctors. I have no other options. Anything or anyone that has some insight is so helpful. Thank you

It doesn't happen when I swallow though. I have a constant uncomfortable feeling of pressure, which is relieved slightly when I click my throat (sounds weird, but I've been doing it for years). Sometimes, the clicking doesn't relieve the pressure and I have to click constantly. It hurts sometimes.
I've been to a few Drs, they've all said the same thing. If it's not affecting my breathing or eating, they don't recommend invasive procedures to look into it or correct it. It may do more harm.
I know that it's definitely the result of trauma from the elbow to the throat. Every now and then I research "clicking throat" on the net. I'm hoping someone figures out the answer soon. It's so frustrating.

I have honestly never remembered to mention it to my doctor since I avoid going unless something needs to be refilled or am having pain or obvious sickness. This is very annoying, and frustrating, not to mention at times very intrusive to my sanity.....but does not appear to be life threatening. My life has had many changes and stessers, not unlike many of my family and friends. I do not think it is stress related since I tend to be most calm and quiet when it intrudes on my quiet/tranquil moments!!
I have read posts on here indicating calcification build up, which I am tending to go along with, by the nature of the beast (so to say!) If this many people have this problem and there have been no serious conditions diagnosed, I am going with that for now! As far as surgery goes......to me, if it isn't debilitating my daily life.....leave it alone! (is my choice) As per thyroid cartiliage, I am not sure that it could apply to me since my Thyriod is gone!?!
I have over the past 6 months been diagnosed with Exostoses (multiple on both femurs and tibias) - I anticipate it is possibly in my arms due to the type of pain I also have there. Anemia has also been found. I am more worried about this combination of events then my throat at this point.

Hi there. I'm new here, 28 year old male, but my "click-ing" throat is not that new :)
I have been having this problem for more than 5 months. It started with a feeling of foreign object that got a cold and i started feeling the clicking when yawning. Now, for about 1 month i started feeling clicking when swallowing nothing or sometimes water. When i eat i don't have this problem. As others from here mentioned, the clicking stops if i swallow with my head turned to right or in some other positions. Sometimes i feel a bit of pain, sometime like a sting but most of the times is just the sensation as something is pushing my neck on the right side. It's very annoying and sometimes it gets me frightened even though i've been to numerous doctors.
Some background: around 8 months ago i had a bad Vertigo ( a BPPV they said ) and from time to time i still have small vertigos but i don't think are all related to BPPV. For my sanity, i think the other vertigos i due to the stress and anxiety my neck problem is causing me. While i was treating my vertigo i got a bad cold where i almost wasn't able to speak, but got better after few days and some drops for my neck. The strange thing was i was still coughing from time to time and had my nose full. So my general dr. (sorry not english native ) gave me some antibiotics and coughing drops. Didn't really have any effect. I'm not sure if then or before i had starting to have the foreign object sensation in my throat. It was strange that i was feeling it only on my right side, and felt like that part of my neck was dry. I first gave it to anxiety, since the vertigo almost gave me some panic attacks ( i still am stressed by it from time to time ). Ah , almost forgot, after the treatment for my vertigo i started having some slight tinnitus in my right ear (the only one working in my case)
Medical history: never had anything strange/important until now. Not perfectly healthy but nothing serious. I'm keeping a somewhat balanced life ( eating somewhat healthy, doing some sports ... )
Went to multiple ENTs (around 3), Generalist, did ET ( i have some small problems but nothing serious and nothing that should give me these feelings), did head CT and MRI (for vertigo mainly), Cervical CT. I even went for some cardio tests. Nothing ... I will have in February and doppler ultrasound scan on my larynx and sub-mandibular. I'm taking in consideration doing a neck MRI ...
It's really frustrating because i have no idea what's there, and no doctor can tell me what really is. Most of them threat this as not important, but it's driving me crazy. Yep, i try to reassure my self it's not life threatening but every time i feel something different/ strange i get scarred.
I will keep you updated with the new findings if needed.

I went to doctors about this sore treat and clicking when I hold and feel my throat on my Adam's apple. The doctor took an x ray and saw that my thyroid cartilage had been inflamed and enlarged. I went through surgery to cut off the xtra cartilage and now I'm better.
