Hi i have a clicking in the left side of my throat when i swallow its was'nt painful at firsf but now it is more so.Swallowing food is no problem it's usually just when i swallow saliva, I guess i have had it but ignored it for two years. Now its become more noticable have started to worry that it could be something more sinister. Does anyone know what this is? Should i be worried. Where can i get more information on it? thanks in advance for any advice :-D

I've had this clicking sound in my left throat for almost one year, with the same symptoms. I've seen many doctors but only a few days ago one, the second ear, nose and throat specialist I've consulted, seemed to be more interested in it and prescribed a CT scan, saying it might be the Eagle syndrome. Either the styloideus ligament has calcified or the styloideus process has lengthened. I hope this may help you.
