I have been experiencing cramps and spasms in legs and hands sometimes (often, there were no these effects, but something like buzzing?). Anyway, doctor said that we could be talking about possible MS. I was prescribed with clonazepam for MS, and starting to feel better immediately. What is the connection here? Thanks in advance.

In MS, axons are suffering from demyelization (this happens in both brain and spinal cord). Thus, electrical impulses that come from these areas are different and this ends in spasms and similar problems. Clonazepam in this situation is helping with eliminating these wrong impulses which helps in reducing the cramps and spasms.
