I need help, please! I had a Lifestyle Lift in August 2009. It is now September 2010 and the swelling and pain is still severe. I live in New York State, but winter in Florida. I went to see another plastic surgeron in Florida in April 2010 with this complaint and was told this is normal. My ears feel as if there is something in them. The back of my head hurts most of the time. My jaw is swelled 90 percent of the time and I'm at my wits end. When I returned to New York State, I went to my doctor. He put me through tests to check my thyroid and found I am slightly hypothyroid, for which he prescribed Snythroid. He said, he wasn't even sure this was what was causing the problem, but that we'd give it a try. The pain is horrible at times and is ruining my life. I don't know where to go or what to do. Can someone out there help me. I have had the swelling go down about 5 times since the surgery. The surgeon who performed the procedure said this has never happened to her before and has not given me any answers.
