Hello,

I am very concerned about the likelihood of being pregnant. Last night, I was engaged in protected sex using a condom. I was never really informed about the danger of not having the man pull out immediately after ejaculation, and my significant other pulled out about 5 minutes after the ejaculation. When he did pull out, the condom was still inside me with the open-ended of the condom being outside. I hope I am conveying the scene correctly. I did not have to hook around my vagina for the slipped condom, but the protruding end of the condom (about 1.5inches) was pulled off. According to him, he did not notice any difference in sensation during intercourse, meaning that the condom was probably slipped off at the very end when he pulled out. After pulling the condom out, I washed myself with water.

We considered emergency contraception, but the morning-after pills are expensive around here. We decided that the chance of pregnancy might be low and that it was not worth the money to purchase the contraception. Being students ourselves, we believed that we did not have the financial means to afford what could prove be unnecessary. I realize that prevention of pregnancy is worth the money, but I was convinced at the time that the probability of pregnancy is low.

I am still very worried that I may be pregnant, so I would be very grateful for any advice, comments, etc. Thank you.

I would guess that is the open end of the condom would outside of your vagina there is a VERY low risk of you being pregnant. I can't imagine any semen got in you. I wouldn't worry too much about it - but it's probably worth doing a HPT in a few weeks!

I was having sex with my boyfriend and we had used a condom and when he pulled out the condom remained in me and wasn't full anymore. Could I be pregnant?
