Possibly this pressure might be a kidney stone or stones? I've had twice what doctor thought was bladder infection when in actuality it was a kidney infection caused by 3 kidney stones in my kidney. Symptoms are indistinguishable sometimes ....until you pass a stone or have horrific pain known as renal colic...being a woman having had two 8 lb. babies, I can tell you it hurt worse than both births of my kids! I've had probably a couple dozen kidney stones and the last 3 consisted mainly of a lot of pressure, thankfully with no pain, but as pressure built, I decided to catch the urine in a special strainer which each time I caught the kidney stone. I've also had several bouts of diverticulitis which also has similar pains as kidney stones & bladder infections / kidney infections. Before messing around with ovder the counter medications, make an appt. first with a urologist or nephrologist (urologist is who I was referred to), then if no problem is found with kidneys or bladder, possibly ask to be checked for diverticulitis. Trust me, I've had 2 times I thought it was kidney stones or infection and turned out to be diverticulitis and 1 time it was both diverticulitis and kidney stone at the very same time. My dr. even called me when I called to ask earlier that day if I still needed to have the CT scan which would show either condition (kidney stone(s) or diverticulitis as I passed a small kidney stone. Seems he received the results of my CT which showed I also had diverticullitis!
Messing around with over the counter treatment could be dangerous. Kidney stones need to be followed...as well as the infections (to be sure they are completely healed up) and also if could be diverticulits, that could be life threatening if an abscess develops and bursts or if a huge infection. Your over the counter treatments will not touch these. Again, could be life threatening or possibly permanent damage to your kidneys. I've heard of a couple of people who have died from kidney stones left untreated due to the infection. Normally you have a fever with infection and also with diveticulitis, but not necessarily with kidney stones and last diverticulitis attack I had, there was no fever! My temperature was normal!

i have this atm, if you sexally active it might me a case of cystitis. where you've had intercourse and not cleaned out (e.g. gone to the toilet to wash it all out) or if your vagina was dry at the time.
If you not sexually active then i would consider going to the doctor, all it sounds like is Cystitis and you only need a wee alot because they're might be a infection in your bladder ands its trying to get rid of it fast.
hope i helped

I have felt like I have to urinate for A MONTH now (24/7!)!!!!!!! It is SO uncomfortable it is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!
I test negative for bladder or urinary tract infections. My pap test is normal. My blood tests are normal. One gynecologist said there is nothing wrong with me, but gave me an antibiotic anyway (Nitrofur-macr) which didn't help. Another gynecologist recommends I see a urologist (which I will do). I tried TONS of cranberry pills, vitamin C and probiotics. I also tried the generic form of AZO (phenazopyridine hydrochloride). I'm wondering if it has anything to do with peri- menopause, since I am getting other symptoms of that (I'm 49 years old). I tried giving up caffeine for 2 days and that didn't help (I only drink 2 cups of coffee or tea a day, anyway). HELP!!!!! If you have any idea what this could be, please let me know!!! Thank-You!

i had this problem. you might just have a simle water infection. sometimes if you don't wash after sex or if you wipe from the back to the front it can cause bacteria in your bladder. drink lots of water and cranberry juice to flush the infection away. Will go quicky.

I have been feeling like this for days. I had intercourse with my boyfriend but i dont know if that has anything to do with it. it is driving me crazy and i have no clue what to do. This is interfering with not only my life at home, but more importantly my school life. and it's not like you can get up and use the rest room anytime you want in school. I really need help finding either an answer to what is wrong or even just a way to cure this....and FAST...pleasee helppp

I had the same problem for years. It was starting to impede my daily lifestyle; I couldn't go out because I constantly felt like I had to pee and I started skipping a lot of my classes because it was more comfortable and much less embarrassing to suffer at home. I went to multiple doctors, including a urologist, and no one could tell me what was wrong. Earlier this year I ended up having an ovarian cyst rupture. I had no idea I even had cysts, I am on the pill so there was no need to check for them. After the cyst ruptured though, I haven't had a single problem with the need to urinate and it has been months. I have no proof that the cyst was the cause but the sudden disappearance of any urgent urination symptoms seems too coincidental to me. I suggest you ask your doctor if this could be the cause of your problems as well!

So...I have had similar symptoms as stated above, except there is something very odd that happens to me and it has happened both times I have had a UTI now...I will dream that I am going to the restroom but I really am not and I will end up peeing on myself--not completely though, the first feeling of warmth on my skin awakens me. But I find it odd and strange that it only happens when I have the UTI.

Hi everyone. I have the exact same problem. It's been happening for a couple of days now. I'll get up (sometimes at 4am) to pee, and maybe it'll work the first time, but every time after that, nothing. Maybe a few drops. And it always feels intensely uncomfortable right before those few drops come out. I'm 19 and it's complete interfering with my school life. Lately i've had a new symptom come up, where my stomach aches and I feel like a BM, but it just doesn't happen, or it feels like i'm intensely constipated. Out of curiosity, I wiped the area to see if anything was happening (BM wise) and there wasn't anything at all. Even though it felt like I was in the middle of a BM. I'm super concerned, but can't get to a doctor for the next couple of days. It's keeping me up at night!

Has anyone figured this thing out?
I have had to pee non stop since the first of January. Done a bunch of tests, but nothing conclusive. Just can't quit going. Seeing a urologist in about an hour. Any ideas as to questions to ask? Or has anyone found out what this constent pee thing is? I am a male and 31 years old.

A condition called: Interstitial Cystitis ~ google it to see if the symptoms match up. I was quite stunned to learn that the lining of our bladders can become inflamed and even damaged so that our own urine is irritating and making it worse. Therefore, you have the urge to go more often - to get the irritant (urine) away from the lining. Then, as the bladder is empty, the walls can bump against each other (kind of like a water balloon that has emptied) and the tender and inflamed sides are hurting.
If this sounds like what's happening, you'll need to see your urologist and discuss: Interstitial Cystitis. Not all docs are as familiar as others, so keep seeking til you find a doctor who helps you. There are several forms of treatment, but start by taking anything acidic from your diet -- including tomatoes and any thing with tomatoes in the sauce (pizza, spaghetti, etc) - also orange juice, oranges, lemon...etc. Removing these things can also begin to ease the discomfort. Drink lots of water....and see your urologist.
