I had a similar problem to what people have described above. Frequent need to urinate, couldn't get through a movie without having to go to the bathroom 2 times, up 3 times in the night to go urinate, almost an inability to hold my urine the urge was so great. Then I think I found the problem but many people don't believe it. First before I tell you what caused it I will give you some history.
A little of 3 years ago I quit drinking all pop and instead started drinking diet green tea from lipton. Now over the next 2 years things were ok, I didn't notice much difference in anything I did except the craving for pop was always there. At this point I was drinking 1 bottle of Lipton Green Tea a day maybe 2 and doing great. One day I decided that I needed something like pop but I didn't want the sugar, so I decided diet pop. I started drinking diet pops, pepsi, coke...etc, shortly after that I noticed something I started Urinating alot more then normal. I couldn't sleep through the night without going to the bathroom at least 1 time, it got to the point I almost couldn't hold my Urine at times, this coming from a guy who was able to normally go to a movie like lord of the rings and drink his large pop before the previews were completed and be able to sit through the entire movie. This seemed very weird to me so I went to the doctor and got checked out, they checked for UTI, and anything out of the ordinary and there diagnosis, "Your getting a bit older and with age comes the inability to hold your Urine for as long as you used to." I accepted this for a few months then I decided to do something odd, I decided to say screw it and go back to drinking Regular Pop.
What do you know my urge to Urinate suddenly and I mean within 2 days went back to normal. I could sit through a movie no problem now, I could sleep through the night, it was quite liberating but puzzling. After a few weeks like that I decided to perform an experiment on myself currently I was drinking no more then 1 L of pop a day so I decided to switch back to diet pop for a few days and see if I had to urinate as bad again. By day 3 I was again almost unable to hold my Urine, and I wasn't able to sleep through the night. The following week I switched back to regular Pop and the same thing happened I was no able to hold my Urine and sleep through the night no problem. I then tried a week with Water only, this was very tough, Now even though I did have to Urinate a lot I was able to hold it for an extended period if I needed to, like watching a movie, the urge was there but the ability to hold it did not go away. My conclusion after all of this is Apartame, the only thing in the diet drinks that is not in the regular drinks or water.
Now I have cut my Pop intake back to about 500mL per day on average, and I am doing great. Maybe others out there can confirm or tell me if I am on glue or something.

So I have been having these symptoms for about three months now, no blood in my urine, but constantly have to pee or feel I have to even right after I just went. I have a nasty habit of letting things go way too long, and I'm unsure of which doctor to call. I have a family doctor, an obgyn, and i cant decide between the two. BUT I also have figured out along with this problem I seem to keep getting yeast infections as well.

I have been having a similar problem for about three months now. It starts with urination, I will use the restroom and then the need to pee doesn't go away; it almost feels like I am having sexual stimulation, mini orgasm that won't end or climax. One day I decided to try masturbation and this may sound odd but I have found that it relieves the feeling. If you have no moral issues with masturbating and have been tested negative for a uti then try it, it's all that has worked for me. Anyone have any ideas if this a Is medical condition?

if you feel like you have to pee but when you go you dont that means you have an urinary infection it causes it because you hold your pee for too long or you have sex when you need to pee or it could cause it by wiping from back to front instead of all the way around but dont worry you should just go to wal mart they sell some kits for it they are about 13 dollars so you save the embarrassment of going to the doctors

i know its been a while since anyone last posted, but this information is soo helpful! i lost my virginity a few days ago, then we had sex again yesterday but he went a little deeper (sorry tmi), and today i started feeling the urge to pee every hour or so, maybe less than that. and as the day went on it got more frequent and now the urge to go hasnt gone away. i try and go but nothing comes out, and if it does its a very little bit. im not sure if thats actually what it is though.. the only way to be completely sure is to see a doctor. when i pee it burns right before i go, but not while im going, and then its a weird feeling after (almost a burning feeling) and then it goes away in maybe 30 seconds. its so annoying. is this caused from swelling of the urethra from sex? and while we were having sex, and during foreplay, i sort of had to go pee, but not badly. does that have anything to do with it? im not sure if theres any blood in my urine or not, if there is, is it noticable? im sorry about all the questions, im just concerned! so if anyone can answer them that'd be great! thank you

I found this website to help, as I don't like taking medication. Our bodies heal themselves based on our dietary intake, so homeopathic remedies are normally the best for your body in the long run.

I DON'T HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONSULT MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR. I CAN'T SEEM TO PEE AND IF YOU CAN OFFER SOMETHING THAT I CAN BUY OVER THE COUNTER UNTIL I CAN MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY DOCTOR I WOULD BE VERY GREATFUL.

Uhhhh.....what if your not a girl, and you constantly feel like you have to pee....and when you stand to take a piss you just like piss for half a second. that's what happens to me and Im a guy lmao I have it during the day but at night its horrible, I go to pee and its a waste of time and once I lay back down I feel like I have to go again. I must attempt going to the bathroom over 5 times a night before finally falling asleep. Could this be a UTI? or could it possibly be like something wrong with my prostate? *keep in mind im only 19, not like 40 lol its driving me insane.*

lets see if anyone can solve my problem.
i am a 20 yr old girl and i have had frequent peeing for almost 4 years.. i started having sex when i was 14 and my peeing stayed normal, but when i was 16 i unfortunatly had an abortion and it seemed to start after that. when i had just turned 18 i started dating a man that was a little more longer (d**k) than anyone else i had ever been with he seem to make my peeing problem a little worse. i pee atleast every hour and most times probably about 3x durning the night, it literally wakes me up and wont let me go back to sleep unless i get up and pee, at night i dont pee out a lot but during the day i do.. i dont have any pain with peeing but holding it completely kills me and my job as a receptionist doesnt allow me to just get up and pee whenever i want to i have to literally wait for someone to let me go to the bathroom and holding it really hurts. if anyone could help me id greatly appriciate it because i hate PAPs!!
sincerly
pee's a lot!!

:'( I have the feeling like I have to constantly have to pee sometimes it feels worse when i stand up. I had a scope and they said that was normal. I pee and can't empty my bladder unless i go twice a few times in a row. then i still feel like it. I also feel like I leek. My husband says stop wiping that makes it worse. Someone also told me that this happens in some STD cases. Do you know if thats true. Every vagina has some bumpy skin (chicken skin if you will). So what do I do. I also have fibromyalgia or so that was the latest dig.

I've had this happen on and off for several years, although now that I know how to control it (more or less), it is not so bad. For a time it was almost every time I went to the bathroom. When I saw the doctor they ran all the usual tests and I had no bladder infection or IC nor was there anything else wrong that they could find.
However...
The doctor asked me if I was currently taking any medicine or vitamins and as it were I had been taking Vitamin C tablets to help get rid of a string of colds I had been having. He said that an increased level of Vitamin C can cause symptoms like I had been having, apparently due to the high acidity of it. So now anytime I have that uncomfortable feeling I severely limit my intake of Vitamin C (no acidic foods/juices, etc.) and it goes away within a couple days.
