I am just wondering if ingesting hot food such as raw chili pepper will help to "neutralize" the cool draft feeling in the back of your throat. I have not the slightest clue what this might be.

no. this is all of a sudden and the feeling seems to go lower in my esophagus. I don't typically ingest chilli peppers and have not consumed hot food in a minute. Thank you for replying

Hi roseimpala,
Cool feeing in the throat is often a symptom of acid reflux. This is an early sing so you might not experience the acid reflux. Stomach acids have a bad habit of coming to our throat and they can be very irritating. My husband had problem with this few years ago and before he had the acid reflux he complying about the tingling in the throat. If I remember correctly he had to avoid eating some food, especially spicy food. You also have to avoid fatty food, also stop eating chocolate and milk products.
Are you using any medications for acid reflux? Have you tried to use something to ease the tingling in the throat?
Good luck,
Danella
