I'm 29 years old and I've been suffering from attacks all my life. I know the attack is coming on before it starts. I start to feel dizzy and have difficulty with body movement. My speech becomes slurred and I just can't get my words out. It kind of feels like I want to do something but my brain is not sending the right signals to my body or as if it's shutting down. These attacks can last between 5 to 10 minutes. Somewhere in between the attacks I get blurred vision and this will continue for a couple of minutes after the other symptoms have stopped.
These attacks happen a lot but are quite random. They usually happen if my if I suddenly feel alert, if I have an adrenaline rush. Playing sports, Going on rides at amusement parks, feeling alert to danger. They also occur during moments of calmness. I constantly suffer from body tremors as well but my left arm is worse for this. It's constantly shaking and I get pain and weakness in the muscles.
I've been to the hospital for many tests and the doctor once put me on beta blockers which had no effect at all. If anything, they made me feel worse. In the end they literally told me that there was nothing they could do for me. The realization that I will spend my whole life feeling like this horrible.
I stumbled across Hypoglycemia yesterday and it does seem highly likely that I've found the problem. Can anybody relate to these symptoms or do you think it's possible that I'm hypoglycemic?

I thought I was having hypoglycemic attacks too recently. I bought a blood glucometer (diabetic test device, you can get them for about $20 at the drug store) and when my blood sugar tested normal during one of the attacks, I looked into "panic attacks" and believe that is what is going on.
Panic attacks are not what you might think they are... For some strange reason, your body just dumps a lot of adrenaline into your blood all at once and next thing you know, you're a basket case for up to an hour.
I'm treating mine with Taurine but I haven't been taking it long enough to know if it's working.
Check with your doc before you try any supplements. I didn't like the pills he was offering for panic attacks so I'm trying the taurine first.
