Hi... I had a baby 3 months ago and had a follow up about 6 weeks post partem with my regular doctor I found out at that apt. that when I had a renal ultrasound done a year before that they had found a solid mass on my left kidney pole. My doctor redid the ultrasound and a urine test found blood in my urine but the mass was now hald solid and half fluid filled. It had not grown in size still only 4 cm. I have been going back about 1 time a week since then because I still have blood in my urine and frequency and low back pain they have not found evidence of a uti yet still keep putting me on different antibiotics. I am only 23 is there any chance this could be kidney cancer? someone please help!

Blood in the urine is not a good sign, especially if the doctors tell you that there is something in your kidney. Once blood gets into the blood stream, that is not a good sign. I was told that by my doctor. Go to a good urologist and get a second opinion and do it ASAP. I just had my right kidney removed laproscopically last November and the cancerous tumor had protruded through the kidney and into my fatty tissue. I was one of the lucky ones, the pathologist report came back clean. I am not trying to scare you, but sitting back and waiting is the worst thing you can do. My best wishes and prayers go to you.
