I went off the pill 4 weeks ago as my husband & I had decided that we'd try to get pregnant, however my period never arrived when I stopped taking the pill. It's now 4 weeks late (as it normally arrived 2 days after I stop taking the pill) and I'm experiencing cramping in the lower right side of my abdomen. My breasts are also slightly tender. Could I be pregnant or am I just imagining it... why else would my period be so late?

Hi. If your period didn't arrive after you stopped taking the pill because you were pregnant, then you would have had to have gotten pregnant while on the pill. It can take a while for your cycle to return to normal after birth control. The cramping and sore breasts could be a sign of ovulation, PMS or pregnancy. The only way to know is to take a pregnancy test. Good luck
