I decided to go back on the pill due to irregular cycles -- regular ovulation but short luteal phase.
I started the pill on the Sunday after what I thought was my period, which "started" on the 9th day after ovulation. But it turned out to be very light spotting for one day only. Since this past year I was spotting for several days before my period while off the pill, I figured it was going to arrive any minute. It's been 6 days since I started the pill, and except for that one day of spotting, there's been nothing. I'm now 14 DPO and no period. Could taking the pill too soon have stopped my period altogether this month?
I still have PMS: tender breasts, cramping, etc., which I was having before taking the pill. I feel like I'm going to start any minute, but nothing. Going nearly 15 DPO has not happened once since last summer for me... I always started 11-12 DPO.
I took 2 HPT and both came back negative.
Confused!

When you start the pill it does chnage your cycle, and YOU ARE NOT supposed to have a period yet anyways! IT IS ONLY day 6 of your pill! The pill will stop your period, and change it a bit. YOU MAY have spotting or irregular bleeding, but you took the pill and changed your cycle, that is to be expected.
ALSO a period usually comes 14-16 days after ovulation in ALL women... IT IS Just the time between a period and ovulation that can change.
