I have had the same problem on and off, but I've only noticed that this itchy, crawly feeling happens when I'm under a lot of stress. I'm pretty certain my issue is in the nerves. The only thing I've found to relieve it is xanax. I'm going back to a new doctor today to see what she suggests.

if you feel something is crawling under the hair and scalp, it is most likely demodex mites. these bugs live on human skin. the crawling and itching usually get worse at night. you need special shampoo to kill the bugs, regular shampoo won't help. get anti demodex shampoo made by ovante. he makes natural products for human demodex, ovante suggests to use the shampoo with medicated hair conditioner. i hope this help

I've had a certain experience relating the crawling 'static' skin that I can't explain but I think that I may know what and where to find them. Try using really hot water and rub the area. It should die down to a spot, then try to rub it real hard until it stops. Worked for me but mine is a crazy situation. Mine gets more intense, hangs in the testicle area. just a suggestion. Any microbiologists in this blog?

If it is anxiety, try increasing the amount of lettuce you are eating daily. I suffer from anxiety, too. But, lettuce works better than any anxiety drug for me. I eat at least two big salads every day. There isn't a lot of evidence out there about lettuce and the effects it has on anxiety, but there is some. Try eating some more salads, if this is caused by anxiety.

I fear that i have the same as everyone else here , i have the same crawling/biting sensations all over my body .At the moment i am taking polaramine (antihistamine tablets ) to allow me to sleep at night though its 12.52 am now and again i cannot get a good nights sleep .If it is diet or stress related as some people say it is than this could well be my answer as my diet has been consistently on the downward slope with a high intake of sugar and carbohydrates , i am also going through a very stressful period in my life so these two important factors could be a role in this . I have done the usual by cleaning out my room sheets , taking the scabies medicinal lather etc ... with no improvement ...

As crazy as it sounds, I think you are all dealing with microscopic 'bugs' particles. I think they are always there except that our minds usually filter them out and/or we just don't pay any attention to every little sensation on our bodies, such as itches, ticklings, etc, etc. Just for the hell of it, try using something with alcohol in it, such as alcohol based hand sanitizer, rubbed on your body where ever/all over. It worked for me. Also HOT baths/showers and maybe incense smoke/etc should have a positive effect. Don't ask me how I know but please take me seriously.
