I recently read in a medical journal that it is quite common for appendicitis to be the first manifestation of crohn's disease. I am curious to hear if there are any people posting here who have had this happening to them? I had never heard of the link before, let alone in this way, so I am hoping for some answers.

I am also searching for answers. I'm not sure whether I have CD or appendicitis. Often times it feels like my stomach wants to growl, but is unable to do so. I also feel like vomiting, but am unable to do so. The pain is associated mainly near the belly button; lower abdomen. I can no longer focus on my grad school work and will be heading towards the doctor's soon. I've lost my appetite, but do not have any fevers. I've noticed blood in my bowel movements in the past before. Now the pain is there before and after I eat.
