Hi, I have called my very good friend yesterday to go for a walk in the park near our houses. She accepted it and we met in the park entrance. She took her 3 years old soon with her while younger kid stayed at home with father. While we were walking her son interrupted us for several times asking her to buy him balloon and after she refused it he started to scream and roll over the ground. I was stunned by his behavior and didn't know what to do. My friend was not so much surprised and after she slapped her son several times he stopped with such behavior. I was wondering if such behavior is normal.

Hi, I bet you may see such reactions from the kids many times. They usually react like this when they don't get enough attention or when they do not get things they want. This behavior is called Temper tantrums and it is common for child from 2 to 5 years. It is quite normal behavior but some kids are more often reacting in this manner. There is not specific way to avoid such behavior but it is good to offer choice to you kid which will not bring him in position to react like this. Kids don't have inhibitions and controls like older have. They way of reacting in situation they do not understand is temper tantrum
