I would like to ask something about my friend's son condition. He is 15 years old and he just came from kidney transplantation. I guess I don't have to explain and talk how big drama his situation is and what it represents to him and his family. He is recovering now and taking Cyclophosphamide & Mycophenolate. What are those two drugs for? Is he ok at all?

Mycophenolate is acting as an immunosuppressant. This means it will prevent boy's immune system from rejecting the new organ. And that is one of the several complications that might happen. Cyclophosphamide is used for dealing with several kidney disorders and I assume it is given for a same reason Mycophenolate is.
