Hi all,
I have had a rather unusual and unfortunate few months. I was pregnant and had a missed miscarriage, I found out at the 12 week scan the baby had demised along the way. I was told by the gp to let the sack release naturally. I allowed time for this and over a couple of weeks thought I had released the sack and had 7 days of very heavy bleeding with a lot of matter still coming out. I thought after this that I was clear and I was not advised to return to follow up and I didn't think of it myself as I had never experienced this before.
As I counted dates for my next period I was late and did another pregnancy test which showed positive. I was confused and excited. A blood test confirmed that it was positive but a low reading and I was told to allow time to see if it would develop or if i would get a period. i was unsatisfied with this after what I had just gone through and went to another dr who did a scan immediatley and I was advised to get a curete. They said what was left inside was not much and was old matter trying to reabsorb into the body. Two weeks later I went for a follow up scan and I was told I still had debri inside but nothing further, not what I should do or what this means.
Has anyone else had debris left over after a D&C and what do you do about it? I would just like my period to return. I'm just so exhuasted by all the emotion and sorrow I've had to endure over the last 5 months. I am hoping to see a specialist soon to get some proper treatment and answers...
Thanks for listening...
