My doctor increased therapy, Keppra to 1000mg and the Depakeen at 750mg. how long on average will it take to see any improvement? At first I thought I was handling this entire pretty well. Now I feel sick to my stomach most of the time which is not good because my stress always manifest into some sort of stomach problem. I am not sure if this right combination. I experienced lately abnormal heart rhythms before a seizure. That is what is worried me the most.

I would like to say that I am not an expert on the topic of epilepsy. I can only share my experiences over the last twenty yrs. the reason for my epilepsy is a high school football accident. My heart is racing after my seizures, but I don't recall experiencing any abnormal heart rhythms before a seizure, like you did. The only triggers I'm aware of are sort of a mental pause lasting only seconds. My Doctor put me on new medication called Depakote and/or Depakeen. And I have to say that I can't remember feeling better. I have so much energy and I think I have a better outlook on life in general.
