Hello, I would like to ask you something about the dependant personality disorder in children. My daughter is 15 years old and I am afraid that she might be suffering from that condition. She always agrees with what I tell her, and that goes even to the matters as simple as clothes choice. What should I do? Is she really in a problem or not?

Well, agreeing with your choices should not be that big of a problem, but I guess you could be careful and watch out for some of the dependent personality disorder symptoms. Those would be feeling of helplessness when she is alone, inability to make decisions, to be responsible, those persons are not competitive, avoid social conflict… If you notice any of these, you should look for a specialist.
