Hello, guys. I am a teacher in primary school and I have a child in my class that has a really troublesome behavior. I think he has some problems with his parents at home. I read something in books and I suspect that he might have Antisocial Personality Disorder. I would like to know how children with this disorder behave. Thanks.

Hi, there. Formally, Antisocial Personality Disorder cannot be diagnosed with children younger than 18. However, some signs can be found with them as well. Usually, they have troubles at home. Their parents are in constant conflict. One or both of them can abuse alcohol or drugs. These kids usually have no supervision from adults. They can punish their kid with no reason. These kids show bedwetting, pyromania and even cruelty to animals. If you suspect on this, you should talk to school psychologist. You can act together since it is better to prevent this while possible. This kid might have some serious troubles when he grows up.
