Hello. I'm 23 year old female and I'm not sexually active.
I'm having big problems with my very painful periods and simply don’t know what to do about it.
I think that almost last five years I'm taking all kinds of pain killers for my menstrual problem and I just can't believe this is the only cure. Then, finally, I've contacted my gynecologist over this and after several examinations he told me that he believed I've suffer from some condition called endometriosis. I really don’t know anything about it and I would really appreciated if someone could tell me more about it.

Hello. I'm very sorry about your condition and I believe that you are really frightened right now but many women suffer from this condition and don’t even know about it.
From what I know about it- endometriosis is a condition in which endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus. It can be attaches to other organs in the abdominal cavity and that’s why it is causing so much pain. The real cause of endometriosis is still unknown.
Not only that it is causing this strong pain but also can cause fertility problems. It can be controlled with pain killers, hormonal medications or at the end- with an laparoscopic operation.
