I've been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat since I was 15. At first, it would come and go, my heart feeling like it takes an abnormally "soft" beat, then pauses, and then an extremely hard beat. I've been to cardiologists about 5 times over a 10 year period, and everytime they give me a checkup, they say the same thing. But since around Christmas of 08 (8 months), I've been having increasingly strange symptoms to accompany them. Over that 8 months, I've developed fatigue, a full feeling in my chest and stomach, I can feel my pulse randomly in my gums, and I can "see" my heartbeating in my eyes when looking at a background that is a solid color (it's kind of like a patches flash in my eyes with the beat of my heart, hard to explain). I went to the cardiologist about 5 months ago when some of these symptoms started coming up, but he just brushed it off and didn't even give me any type of exam.

I am 24, overweight ( 6'2", 240lbs), but don't smoke. I'm just worried now b/c in the past, I could live with the irregular HB w/o any interruption in my every day life, but now, I find myself constantly noticing these things, and it's becoming stressful and very worrisom. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi there, see a new cardiologist. That is not normal. And you definitely be checked out. Especially things that block your vision, that's usually a sign of blood pressure or something else gone wrong. You need to be checked out and not by someone who brushes off your concerns. How soon an you see a new doctor?
