i am a Dialysis patient needing treatments every other day. I realize that the removal of fluid causes the blood pressure to drop during treatment but on some non treatment days I have observed pressures like 70/40. What would cause this and what pressure is TOO low?

Hi,

My mother is a dialysis patient who used to do dialysis 3 times a week, where her blood pressure was normal, but slightly low. Now she is doing dailysis from home everyday, her blood pressure is very low - sometime 60/40, but does sometimes increase during the day. We are also trying to find out why this is happening - I do believe it is linked with the fluis you are taking off during dialysis but also measuring the potassium and sodium levels in your blood as these affect blood pressure. Do you know anymore?
