Hi all. I’m a 35 years old male having prolapsed disc at L5/S1 which caused serve pain in my left leg for about a 6 – 7 months. I went through disectomy and everything was just fine until some 20 days later when I started to experience numbness and mild pain in both legs. Two weeks ago I had another MRI which show inflamed s1 nerve roots and inflamed post-surgical tissues. What should I do?? Is this inflammation cause for pain and numbness I’m experiencing??? Is there a way to treat this??? Thanks for all replies.

Inflammation of nerve roots, especially the S1 nerve, are certainly cause for numbness you’re experiencing. I think that PT should help but I think that you should consult your doctor first. Did you discuss this matter with him?? What did he tell you about all this??? I think that ye should know what to do and I think that you should follow his instructions.
